Domain registration and website hosting

The unglamorous foundation everything else sits on. We register the domain in your name, run the DNS, host the site, keep the certificate valid and make sure the renewal never gets missed.

What it is

Domain registration & hosting, in plain terms

Your domain is your address on the internet. Hosting is the space your website lives in. DNS is the set of records that connects the two, and also tells the world where to send your email. Three separate things that most people meet as one bill.

We register domains, including Australian .com.au and .au names, always in your business name with you as the owner. We run the DNS records for you, which is the part that quietly controls whether your website loads and whether your email arrives. And we host the site on infrastructure we manage, with the SSL certificate that puts the padlock in the address bar renewed automatically.

Where you already have a domain somewhere else, we can either move it across or leave it where it is and just manage the records. Either works.

Why it matters

Why your business needs this

Nobody notices hosting until it fails, and when it fails it takes the website and often the email with it. The failures are almost always avoidable and almost always administrative.

Lapsed domains are the classic disaster

A renewal notice goes to an old address, the domain expires, the site and the email both stop, and by the time anyone works out why, somebody else may have registered it. It happens constantly.

The domain must be in your name

Domains registered under a former web designer's account are more common than they should be. If you cannot log in and see your name on it, you do not fully control it.

Slow hosting costs you rankings

Cheap shared hosting puts hundreds of sites on one server. Google measures how fast your pages load, and visitors leave before they load at all.

Backups are only useful if tested

A hosting company saying backups are included is not the same as being able to restore your site today. We check ours.

Why through us

One team instead of four suppliers

This is the clearest case for having one supplier. Your domain, your DNS, your website and your email are technically one connected system, and splitting them across four companies is how ordinary changes turn into outages. A hosting provider changes an IP address and your email stops. A developer updates a record and the site disappears. Each company checks only their own part, finds it fine, and the business is left in the middle.

With everything here, there is nothing to coordinate. When your new website goes live, we schedule the DNS change so your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace email keeps flowing through it. When you add a business phone number, the records line up. When your site needs to move, it moves without anyone losing mail.

Renewals sit with us and get paid on time, and they are in your name, so nothing you depend on is ever one forgotten email away from switching off.

What you get

What is included

Domains registered to you

.com.au, .au, .com and the rest, registered in your business name with you as the registrant. Always.

DNS managed for you

The records for your website, email and any other services, changed by people who understand what each one affects.

Managed hosting

Fast Australian-served hosting we look after, sized to your site rather than to a plan name.

SSL that stays valid

Certificates issued and renewed automatically, so the padlock never lapses and browsers never warn your visitors off.

Backups and monitoring

Daily backups with a tested restore, and uptime monitoring that alerts us rather than waiting for you to notice.

Renewals handled

We track expiry dates and renew ahead of time. No notices to a mailbox nobody reads.

How it runs

From first call to done

You will always know what stage the work is at and what happens next.

  1. Find out what you have

Which domains exist, who they are registered to, where DNS is run and where the site is hosted. This is frequently a surprise.

  2. Put ownership right

Anything registered to a previous supplier gets transferred into your name. That is worth doing even if you change nothing else.

  3. Move or manage

Transfer domains and hosting across, or leave them and manage the records, whichever causes less disruption.

  4. Verify everything still works

Site loading, certificate valid, mail arriving, subdomains resolving. Checked after the change, not assumed.

  5. Watch it from there

Uptime, certificates, backups and renewal dates monitored so problems reach us first.

Common questions

Who owns the domain?

You do. It is registered in your business name with your details as the registrant. You can take it elsewhere at any time and we will help you do it.

What do I need for a .com.au domain?

An active ABN or ACN, and a name with a reasonable connection to your business. We check eligibility before registering so nothing gets rejected.

Can you move our existing site and domain across?

Yes, and email is the part to be careful with. We plan the DNS change so mail keeps arriving throughout the move rather than bouncing for a day.

Is my site hosted in Australia?

It is served from Australian infrastructure, which keeps load times low for local visitors. If you have a specific data residency requirement, tell us and we will set it up to match.

What if my site goes down?

Monitoring alerts us, usually before anyone in your business notices. If the site itself is damaged, we restore from backup rather than trying to piece it back together.

Not sure who holds your domain?

Tell us what you have now and what is not working. We will come back with a straight answer on what it takes and what it costs.
